Halloween

This holiday to me is just a time to dress up and go have fun with friends there is no point to it really; at least to me. This years halloween I spent time with my great aunt and mom down in Arizona after visiting ASU. We watched moives and waited for trick or treaters to come to the door which never happened. And i was all dressed up to i was Me, Myself, and I. In our house hold we stop trick or treating at the age of 13, after that age we are allowed to do what ever we please that night whether it be go to a party or haunted houses, whatever we want the night is ours to take basically. I personally don't think it should be celebrated like Christmas is but rather just as a time for you to have fun with your friends because it's usually the only time of year that people can go crazy and no one thinks bad of them for it. The reason that i can think of best as to why Halloween has had such a drop in trick or treating is because parties are becoming more popular then going to get candy from peoples doors. Children can be affected by their parents and their christian beliefs that halloween is like Christmas for the devil and we must not celebrate it for that reason alone. All and all Halloween is a fun "holiday" and doesn't really have the same meaning as it did in the later days (under certain peoples circumstances).

Micikas

I dont think i can begin to say how comforting it was to hear Mrs. Micikas talk about her faith and what her life was like. The fact of knowing that someone as successful as her lost her faith in probably the time that she needed it the most was a great relief i guess i should say. She lost her faith at such a young age much like others and struggled to reconnect with God because of the way she was raised.
I am truely blessed to be able to talk about me loss of faith with my family because i know that it is not their fault but rather mine. I also have the peace of mind that she did not step foot in a church for almost fifteen years but she knows she can still claim Jesus as her Savior on her death bed. But that is what i am scared of that if i claim His name on my death bed, will he believe what i have to say or will it just be lip worship in His eyes. To tell you the truth i am scared out of my mind when i die for the reason of being judged alone. I know i should go to hell and i deserve to, but im scared beyond all reason.

Homecoming

To me homecoming is just a dance that happens each year in highschool. Its meant to honor the alumni of past classes at the school. Its a fun thing to do and to just see people outside of school. To some homecoming is a right of passage in highschool and that there is nothing more important then homecoming. Thankfully i am not that person, I like the dance and love to have fun being with everyone just dancing with no cares. Homecoming is a time for no worries and to just have fun.

Movie Review

Step Up
This movie portrays the world view of, fighting for what you want. The world view can be seen very clearly while Tyler, the main character, is in a foster home but has to fight everyday for what he wants and or believes in. While messing around with his friends Tyler is caught and has to deal with the consequenses. In Tylers time at the school of dance he learns that if you work for something then it can be a great reward

This is just a curious question because, i read in one of my work cited papers that this issue of gay marriage effects many. So my question is...

Its really intersting to see how certian international foods influence the food made in America today. When we ate a the resturant i really got a taste of what Israels food actually taste like instead of going to a place that tries to make international food but they Americanize it so its not the real thing. It was a great experiance and i hope i never forget it.

wow

so when i was typing my report it amazed me to see how far the dispute over homosexual marriage has been. Even though i decided to only type my paper on the marrige controversy there has been so much more going on. I always thought that this whole thing only started in the 2000s but this has been going on since the sixtys. Its also intersting to find out that Virginia is the only state to allow gay marrige in the 5 decades that homosexulas have been fighting for rights
